Whoop, there it is...

Tom and I went to his 10 year high school reunion on Friday night...
I took the opportunity to take a pic of my growing belly (22 weeks) with the Senior Class President.
We had a good time catching up with Tom's old friends.
That night, Henry had his 1st sleepover with PatPat and PawPaw and had a blast- thank you guys so much!!!
On Saturday morning, we slept til 8:30... went to have breakfast by ourselves... it was nice.

Labor Day

On Labor Day, we cooled off in the Wood's pool.
Henry- not too excited to be in the water.
I'm hoping he'll like it more next summer.

He did, though, enjoy playing basketball with Tom.

Luckily, they have a really cool swing set that he loves.

Choo Choo

Last Saturday morning, we decided to take Henry on a train ride to downtown Fort Worth.

We ate lunch at this sandwich shop that is located
in the station.

Then we went walking around downtown Fort Worth.

We stopped at the Fort Worth Water Gardens.
They actually expect that people will not swim in this body of water.
So why did they make it the color of the average swimming pool with steps leading into it??

Henry fell and got his first really bloody knees.
(My mom told me to remember how soft and sweet his knees were the day he was born , because soon they would no longer be the same)

More water gardens

Tom and Henry in the lobby of the new Omni Hotel....
Being pregnant, I was relieved to see this fancy "pit stop" on the way back to the station.

Ready to go home.

It was fun to get out and do something different with the family :)

Zoo Time

Last week, Henry and I met our friends, Mrs. Michelle, Leah, and Luke at the zoo.
I thought Henry would enjoy seeing this gorilla up close and personal.

Let's take a closer look at how Henry was really feeling about being that close to the gorilla:
Terrified!

Didn't mind touching the snake, though.

We ran into Caroline, a friend from church, at the penguins.

Luke and Henry ready to go.

Our friend, Alice

Henry's youngest Louis cousin, Alice, comes and plays with us 2 days a week. It's been, and will continue to be, good practice for me to "juggle" two little ones. Henry enjoys her being around and I'm really lucky that Alice is such an easy baby!

l love Alice's expression here!

Playing at the Park

Since the weather has cooled off (well, it had, and I hope it will again) we decided to take our dinner to a nearby park.
It's nice that Henry's gotten bigger and is able to be more independent on the playground.

Fork, Anyone??

Henry has been working on using a fork.

Bon Appetit!

(No, he didn't eat all the brocolli)
