Week in Review

We had a busy week last week.
On Monday, Evie and Mary Pat came over to play.
Here they are, sharing.
Telling secrets

Evie wanted to give Henry some love, and Henry was not feeling it.

On Wednesday, our little friend Haedyn came over to play.

On Thursday, during nap time, I snuck in to take this pic. This isn't unusual. Sometimes he has both feet sticking out.

Friday- supervising Tom.

Brr, Mom! Take me back inside!

Poor Guy... On Monday, he started to be fussy. Tuesday, came the snot. By Thursday, the crust in the eyes. Here is a pic from Saturday morning. Needless to say,I took him to the doctor yesterday. Hopefully, it'll clear up soon! (This morning, he really couldn't open his eyes- they were stuck shut! Tom said that when he went to go get Henry out of bed, Henry was looking around like Stevie Wonder)

Feeling better

And finally-

A "blog friend" of Henry's started walking last week- and he's a month younger than Henry. By showing Henry the video of Alex walking, I tried to use peer pressure to get his feet moving. That evening, he took a couple steps.

Yesterday, I took these videos:

Oops!

And drum roll, please:

Madeline's Birthday

This weekend, we took the trek back to Shreveport for my niece's 5th birthday party.

(Tom also played in an Kappa Sig alumni golf tournament- more on that, later)
Saturday morning, she had a party with her friends at a bounce house place.

Henry's 1st taste of cake

Later that day, we went over to my sister's for a barbeque and fun outside.

This pic makes me laugh. He's trying to look so tough on his cousin's pink 4 wheeler.

We had a great time!

Cheese Face

I've been working on getting Henry to smile at the camera. I snapped these pics while he was eating his snack after his nap.

New Hobby

Lately, Henry has been enjoying taking anything out of everything. This morning, he took all the laundry out of the basket. This afternoon, it was the tupperware's turn.

Now who is going to clean this up?!?

11 months

These days Henry enjoys:

  • Standing by himself
  • "Talking"- it's getting to sound pretty funny
  • Banging on everything!
  • Turning the caps lock on while I type
  • Peek a boo and blowing kisses (still not waving)
  • Rolling a ball
  • Reading books about animals
  • Getting his fingers stuck in the VCR (yes, we still have one)
  • Being outside and eating grass, leaves, and dirt

The time change has been great for us... He's sleeping to 7ish now- which works out for me!

Shreveport Trip

Last week, Henry and I headed over to Shreveport.

Henry got to play with Cousin Madeline in her new tree house.

Every morning after he woke up, Henry played on M'Dear's balcony. He loved to watch the ducks playing in the pond. Don't you love his outfit ?!

On Friday, we went to the park. Henry enjoyed pushing his own stroller.
Elizabeth and Madeline attempted to fly a kite.

On Sunday, we had a shower for Sarah. Her baby boy is due in June.

Sarah likes hippos... so I made her this onesie.

(I forgot to take a picture of it at the shower along with the darling hippo children's books we got her... I did a really bad job documenting this shower- sorry Sarah!)

My wonderful pregnant sisters!
(Can I tell you how jealous I am of kids who actually smile at the camera)

All of Sarah's lovely gifts.

Madeline helped Sarah open her gifts.
We painted onesies, bibs, hats, and picture frames for Sarah's baby.
The shower was a success and I know Sarah had a great time.

Before we headed back home, Henry had to take a picture with his future cousins.

It was a good trip!

Loved all the time I got to spend with my both my sisters!
It was really hard to send Sarah back to Virginia, but I'll see her in June.

Peek A Boo!

(Sorry about the baby talk)

More Spaghetti, I Say!

Looks like Henry got his eating habits from his momma...
