Henry's birthday was a smorgasbord of activities.
Camille got me up early, so we surprised Henry with donuts.
And let him open a few presents.
Aunt Kate had spent the night and gave him this cool remote control car.
He had a baseball game that morning.
Hit a home run!
Since he wasn't having a formal party, I brought a cake to celebrate with his team buddies.
Henry had requested an Auburn party.... hence the Auburn cake.
You better believe there were some 5 year olds "boo-ing" Auburn.
These Alabamians are coo-coo about football!
That day, our church had its Easter celebration, so we had lunch there.
Henry found his classmate, Johnny, at his hunt.
MG and Cole
Before naps, we sang Happy Birthday to Henry... complete with Bomb Pops... it's what he requested!
After rest, we headed to Skate 280!
woo-hoo!
It's what the birthday boy wanted!
He's more than 1 handful now!
So Henry had been to Skate 280 for a birthday party a month before and was dying to get back.
He had pumped MG and Simon up for the experience too.
When Henry 1st skated at the party, he was falling all over the place. It didn't bother him.
Now Margaret- it bothered her.
She did not like falling but wanted to skate.
This was kinda a problem.
Simon was pretty indifferent about skating... he wanted to go steal the balls from Skeetball and throw them. ha
Henry even talked me and Tom into skating.
I wasn't so bad!
Tom..... fell... straight on his back.
Limbo!
It was a good time.
Henry's last request was to go to McDonald's for dinner.
It was a good time.
Henry's last request was to go to McDonald's for dinner.
He has since developed a distaste for McD's... yessssssss.
We didn't have time to use the (3) Auburn party items I had ordered, so we continued the celebration the next night.
We had (insert what Henry requested... I don't remember) for dinner and sparkling Mango juice.
My kids are crazy for sparkling juice... I hope to make it a birthday tradition.
Orange for Auburn mustaches
Also got Auburn napkins... not pictured, but wanted to make sure I got credit for trying. ha
