Margaret Gray's Dance Recital

Margaret Gray really enjoyed her dance class this year!

I took some pictures of her before we left to take her recital portraits.
I was pretty proud of her hair ;)

These expressions crack me up.
She's pretty dramatic.

No clue... I think she was waiting for me...

Then dress rehearsal day...

Waiting to go on stage.

The recital was titled "A Day Without Crayons"...
about a girl who got her crayons taken away  (she had colored on the wall... ha)
and how she found color in the world around her.
Very interpretive for 3-6 year olds. ;)
Mosey's class' dance was called "Deep Blue Sea".

 Ha

Then finally the recital...
It was at the Alabama Theater.
Real pretty.

We sat in the Upper Balcony...
with all the other families with small children ;)
Plenty of room for the wiggles.

Ta Dah!

 It was an hour performance...
... I ended up taking the boys out to the lobby.

 Grand Finale

Sister had seen the flowers in the car, but she acted like they were a surprise.
She was soooo proud of them!

MG couldn't stop staring at them.

I loved watching her love for dance grow this year.
She definitely has her own style going!

End of the year party.
She met some sweet girls in her class!
Since she did not go to a preschool this year, I am thankful for this opportunity that was all her own.

Random Pics

 Sisterly love

It's REALLY hard to get a picture of all 4 of them!

A friend in our Sunday school class is a photographer.
She was working on a Mother's Day project and asked us to join in.
Fun having her take a picture of me and my babies.

Hilton Head

On Tom's 33rd birthday, we headed off to Hilton Head, SC to have a nice long Easter weekend with Walter, Megan, and the boys.

Drive was good. Long. Kinda took a scenic route... unintentionally.
Got to the house around 11? maybe it was 10 and felt like 11??

Nice house Tom and Walter found... lots of chotchkies. Only one porcelain bunny got broken. Simon.;)

Friday morning, we walked around Sea Pines. Interesting corralling all our kids.. dodging cars and bikes.

Returned to the house to play on the beach before lunch.
Pretty chilly and damp.
She was brave!

Simon preferred staying dry and playing in the sand.

Dillan man

Jackson was all about the beach.

Sweet Aiden

So glad Megan took this picture!

The house in the middle was ours. Just a short walk through the sand dunes.
Braved the coooold pool before heading inside.

Kids warmed up with a bath... 1st bath with all 4.
Glad I got it documented.

It poured the rest of the day.
So we played around the house.
These 2 were buds on the trip.

Good thing Megan brought a hands on dessert!

After dinner Old Maid.

Saturday morning we got dressed and went to a nature preserve.

The sign made me laugh... kinda.

As I was being annoyed that Walter was in the picture of my kids ;) , I noticed something floating above Margaret's head. Thought it was a stick. Nope. An alligator swimming towards them
Yikes.

Then there was this one chillin'.

Glad Megan was there to hold on tight to the kids!

Henry really enjoyed flying his kite.

More rain... more hanging around the house.

Sunday was Easter!
I LOVED having a laid back Easter with family!
Easter baskets on the screened in porch... I have got to get one of those!

Tom and Walter conducted our own Easter service... in our PJs!
Perfect.

We got dressed and headed down to Harbor Town for an Egg Hunt and pictures with the Easter Bunny.
Rode the trolley.

By the time we got there (which wasn't too long after it started) the Easter Bunny was saying Adios, and the workers were just throwing eggs on the ground and our kids were following behind them picking the eggs up.
Pretty lame.

Good thing it was at the playground so the kids had fun playing.
And thank goodness Mega brought extra coats... my kids would have been quite cold without them!

Checked out the awesome boats in the harbor.

Nothing says Easter like the Crazy Crab!
We have loved our vacations with Team Walter Louis this year!!!
Hudson Warren arrived May 28th!

Sun finally peeked through the clouds while we were waiting to catch the  trolley back...

More beach time that afternoon.

Cool tidal pools

Odd jellyfish

That night, Tom dyed Easter eggs while the kids watched ;)

And stomp rocket fun.
Some got stuck on the roof.

Beautiful day for our last full day!
View from our porch.

Headed back down to the harbor to walk around.

And more beach time.

These 2 eventually fell in... shocker, I know.

H is all about card games these days.

Went out for ice cream after dinner.

Had to wash off the sand, ice cream, and funky water fountain water.
Sweet kids.

Tuesday morning, Walter, Megan, and the boys headed out.
I made our family stick around for pictures.

Such a waste of time.

Don't know how many times we said, "just put your hands down".
Ha.
Albert Einstein said, "Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results".
Ha.

Did I think the sun was going to not hurt our eyes??

We. are. family.

We had such a fabulous time at Hilton Head!
We definitely want to go back!
