Arboretum/ State Fair

Last week we visited the arboretum with Liz and her boys. Was hopeful to get some good pumpkin pics. That was just wishful thinking. Margaret's expressions are priceless.

Later that week, we went to the fair. We hadn't gone last year, so it was nice to be back to enjoy the good weather and good food.

Pumpkin Patch

Took the kids to our local "pumpkin patch" last week.

Henry found a football, and the kids found it quite entertaining.

Zoo, Cabins, and Train

Several weeks ago, Tom was working nights so he had his days off to sleep... and play with us.

One day, he and I took Margaret Gray to the zoo while Henry was at school.

Then the next day, Tom suggested going to ride the Forest Park Miniature Train through Trinity Park in Fort Worth.

We got there a little early, so we went across the street to the Log Cabin Village.

The kids enjoyed the hands-on cabin.

Finally... the train ride. Very enjoyable 45 min train ride. It was a beautiful day for it.

Lunch at Joe T's topped off a great couple of days spent with Tom.

My sister returned my swing the last time I saw her. It's been sitting out. Margaret's loved it.... for her dolls and herself.

Not sure if they were practicing their "hikes" or prepping for a somersault.

After playing at the park at the Warminskis', Brother and Sister sat down to cool off. I was surprised that Henry was fine about his sister sitting in his lap. He can be quite the "touch me not".
