Pestering

Minding her own business.

Then Henry wanted a turn... but his little brother just ignored him ;)

And then we took a self portrait.

Simon- 8 months

Lots of changes this month!
Simon went from getting up on hands and knees, to going from tummy to sitting, to crawling, to pulling up...  all developments that made sleep interesting this month.. :)

New foods- cantaloupe, lentils, blueberries, grapes, watermelon, cottage cheese, and yogurt.
Eats well.

I like to believe that his hair is getting more red.

He kept wanting to crawl off the edge of the chair. I kept having to catch him mid-fall. He thought that was hilarious.

The little guy is keeping me on my toes.
Wants to chew on power cords, pull up on house plants, and gets fingers smashed in drawers. Has got some shiny bruises on his forehead.

Poor guy has been chewing on his fingers and drooling like a mad man. Really wish some more teeth would break through.

Pics from this month

Loves to crawl under the table

When he falls over, he tends to lay there for a while... I guess wanting someone to help him out.

Finally hung the sibling paintings on the wall.

Likes to look out the back door... and chase that soccer ball around.

 When he 1st started crawling:
Didn't want to wear the hat like Henry and Margaret did (if you really care to watch Margaret's crawling video, it's the 8th one down).
Has gotten pretty fast. Crawls on his hands and feet when crawling on the tile.

Tom came up with this game... love his laughs

Margaret Gray

babycenter. com tells me that she's 31 months old.

Nicknames- Mosey, Mosey Gray, Moser,  Sister, Sissy, Sister Gray

Loves to dress herself- has some interesting creations.

Has the sweetest little laugh.

Wants to do anything and everything that Henry does.

The second she hears Simon wake up, she wants to run into his room. The poor girl gets her hair pulled 100 times a day by her little brother... loves him though.

Loves bath time. Can't get her to stop drinking the water, though. Yucky.

Potty trained- started at the beginning of the summer. Didn't require too much of a "training"... candy did it's job.

Loves going to church. Talks about Gabby, Ruby, and Leah. Likes to pretend she's the teacher.
She's really looking forward to starting "school" soon.

Has recently bonded more with her babies. She has Big Baby, Baby Georgia (which sometimes changes to Baby Maggie or Baby Gwennie), and Baby Makin' ("naked")

Loving books these days. She wants you to read one to her and then she rereads it you.

When in stores, will take everything she sees off the shelf.
Recently at the Gap, I turned around to see her standing on one of the display tables hugging the mannequin.

Silly.
And you should see this girl dance. My mom described it as Elaine from Seinfeld. She's got a great shoulder shrug going on.

The child always  has issues with her panties. On backwards, riding up her "cheeks", or as seen in above photo- over her shorts and backwards.

Loves animals.

Still loves her fingers. We're trying to curb the habit. Going to the dentist next month and I'm pretty sure he's going to tell us her teeth are being affected.  $$$ :)

Such a snuggler.

As much as she still loves her daddy, I feel like she's wanting to spend more time with me these days :)

I tried video taping her a million  5 times.  This was as good as it got.

Favorite show- Dora and Deigo not Horseland
Favorite color-  just Pink
Favorite food- said Mac and Cheese but it's pizza. Not picky.
Favorite book- Fancy Nancy
Tom got no love for all the time he plays baseball with her. He's got them doing a great Dot Race, too, in the backyard. Let's MG have a head start.

We love our Margaret Gray.

Ode to the Olympics

A couple of weekends ago, the kids and I headed out to "Miss Liz's" to spend the day. Tom was working late that night and the next day, so we made it into a slumber party, too.

Since it was so stinking hot outside and we had little energy to take all 7 kids anywhere (but I would like to give a shout out to our 4 hour trip to the mall with all the kids we took last week) , we made it an Olympic theme day... to give the kids some random structure (is that such a thing?) during our day.

There was an obstacle course
And she's off!

Dear Charlie

Simon practiced his weight lifting

Olympic Ring M&M snack

Froot Loop Gold Medals

Another Olympic Ring craft

MG wasn't that interested. Can't wait to see her art projects from school :)

Fun times!
All we needed was our friend Brinley to provide the soundtrack!

And just because- this picture was from when we played in May.
