Last Day of School

It was a " take 2" from last year's end of the year teacher gifts....
This time we did them before the last day and it was a lot less stressful.... I think the Kinkos people appreciated me not begging for the notepads to be finished in a hour.

Our church friends Haedyn and Auriana. We sure do miss the Smiths!
Don't they look thrilled :)

 MG with Mrs. Erica.
Sad I didn't get a picture with Mrs. Nelda.

I couldn't have asked for a better year for Margaret.
She sure did bloom in her class.
I was thankful for they way MG's teachers pointed out qualities in her that I don't necessarily notice at home.
Who knew she loved art?  Now we have her crafting much more!

 Her friend, Liam.
Just noticed her Papa Murphy's tat. Nice.

And sweet Ruby... who was also a church friend, so they have known each other since they were babies!

Henry's class created this and they drew a name to see who got to take it home.
We did not win :(

Since I was a ding dong and scheduled swim lessons for the last week of school, I picked up Margaret early from her class and took her to Henry's end of the year Luau so we could leave early from there.

I'll just go ahead and say it.... Mrs. Blackstone adored Henry.
It made this momma so proud of him.

We loved Mrs. Davis too!

Henry's buddy, Max.... checking out their party gift bag goodies.

Really?!?! Can you really grow that much in a school year???

We had a great experience at our church's ECC and are thankful for the friends we made there!

Now to send Henry off to Kinder........
BOOOO HOOOO!

Mother's Day/ Father's Day

Let's see if I can catch up on this blog thing...

and let me tell you, its very weird looking at the pictures- we miss our Arlington family dearly!

1st off, Mother's Day.
tried to capture some pictures before church. ha.

Took a snooze on the couch and then watched Tom make a giant layered cookie cake for our family dinner

Margaret Gray gave me a notepad and pen and Henry chose a tortilla warmer to honor me. Perfect gifts, if I say so.

Then we headed over to PawPaw and PatPat's and enjoyed a nice steak dinner. Fancy :)
PawPaw had a "Dot Race" planned.
PatPat, Kate, and I were the "Dots". Everyone got prizes!

It was a good day.
I felt very honored.
I love being the mom to my dear RooRoo, Mosey Gray, and Simon James.

Father's Day started out well, considering Tom and I had a night away the night before in Dallas. Sleeping in was pretty sweet and we enjoyed a relaxing brunch.

Later that afternoon, we headed over to the Wood's.
Watching golf. I think he was pretty happy.

Kids enjoyed swimming.

The Whitesides were in town and Simon and Gwyneth enjoyed playing with each other.... I tell you, these 2 are going to be trouble. :)

MG was feeling a little under the weather.... a by "under the weather", I mean by the time we left she was burning with fever :(

That didn't slow down her artistic expression. :)

So, Kate and Brent have started running a photo booth business.
Lucky for us! We have had so much fun with it.
What's a Father's Day party without a bit of photo booth action?!

 Evie and Alice

 Simon and his beloved  PawPaw
 Ryan and his girls
MG, PawPaw, and Ella

Ryan and Mary Pat.  Very cute.
 Very very cute.
I'm so glad PawPaw got in on the action.
The kids are going to love having these pictures with him.

Dinner of burgers and baked beans.
Simon has become a master dipper of his chips in the beans... how they should be eaten.

8 of the 18 grandchildren

PawPaw got a swanky baseball glove.

We had to get a family photo before we left.
Simon needed a little help not falling off the stool.

Tom is a fantastic dad. We are so thankful for him!
Yay Tom :)
