Recent Birthday Parties

Time for Spring Chicken Birthday Parties this year.

1st Stop:

Ava's 2nd Birthday

Thrilled. :) Farm girl Ava and lovely momma, Kristen. Good thing Kristen was there to help... Henry tried to stick the tail between the horse's legs.

Surprisingly, Henry warmed up to the cow and Margaret stayed far away.

We had a great time!

We went on to the McAdams' for naps then out to McKinney to celebrate...

Jackson's 4th Birthday! Poor kids hadn't eaten since 11 that morning. It was 5 when they ate dinner.

It was a carnival party.

Then the next weekend I took Henry to Audrey Warminski's pink princess 1st Birthday Party.

(Margaret was at home dying from croup... she's better now)

As good as it got when we tried to get Henry to take a pic with Ava.

H was very excited about his new sword.

Never got a pic of the birthday girl, but here are Brinley and Ava in Audrey's "carriage".

We love our friends and love celebrating their birthdays with them!

Road Trip to Houston

Henry, Margaret, and I took advantage of Spring Break here in Texas to take off to Houston with Amy and Brinley. We were so excited to spend some time with the Burkharts.

The drive down was perfect... Kids did great- I didn't even need to pull out the emergency fun snacks.

Once we got there- the kids immediately made themselves at home.

After getting settled in, we took a trip to one of Bekah's favorite parks.

And then Jenny mentioned that their fire station was close- Henry could hardly contain himself.

The friendly firemen invited the very nervous Henry to sit in their truck.

We returned to the house for dinner, put the kids to bed, and

after watching the season finale of The Bachelorette, stayed up too late chit chatting.

Sweet Bekah- so full of personality! She was a great hostess- learned it from her mom.

The next day we visited the Children's Museum.

It was crazy busy, but the kids had a great time...

... in the ambulance...

... at the grocery store...

.... at the vet and pet store....

... and at the Tot Spot. Henry squeaked in being at the 35 month age limit.

That afternoon we went to another park.

Its fun to see Henry and Margaret sticking by each other.

Bekah loves to dress up so she loaned MG a tutu skirt and all 3 girls rocked some ruffles and crowns.

That night, after getting the kids to bed, us moms went out to dinner.

Great friends. Love that every time we get together, they close down the restaurant around us- we never run out of things to talk about.

The next morning, we packed up our things and headed out.

Brin's expression here described how we all felt about leaving.

Movie Night

Our small group came over last week for a Movie Night. One family brought their projector, we ordered pizza, and everyone set up blankets and chairs for a fun time in the backyard.

It was perfect.
