Awaiting Audrey

Last weekend we hosted a couples shower with the McAdams' and Burkharts for the Warminskis. They are expecting a little girl in April, their 2nd child.
Margaret dreaming about her new friend's arrival

Amy did a great job on the cake

Tom, Johnathan, and Rocky

Meagan and Amy...
Unfortunately, the Burkharts weren't able to make it... Poor Bekah was quite the sick one :(

Too bad we couldn't get a good pic of the kiddos. At least Brinley looks happy. Fortunately, this pic doesn't represent how the night went for them... they had a great time playing with each other!

Meagan got some great gifts!
It was a super fun shower!

Miss Margaret wore her party dress (compliments of her cousin Ella) to church the next day.

She's good at letting me know when she is finished taking pics :)

1 month check up and Goop

Last week we finally got to have Margaret's 1 month check up.
She seems to be growing right along!
11 lbs 2 oz (80th %)
23 1/4 inches (93rd %)
She got 1 shot... cried a little, but then was comforted in knowing that her band-aid matched her gown.

When my doctor walked into the room, he took one look at Henry and asked "What's wrong with him?"
I had noticed Henry's eye was kinda swollen when he woke up that morning.
I guess the doctor noticed it, too.... along with his chapped cheeks and chin- but that's another story.
Doc prescribed him an antibiotic, thank goodness because:

He didn't look that bad here:

But when he woke up from his nap, it was a different story.

He's all better now!
And I think Miss Margaret is currently going through a growth spurt- Wowza!

Snow

Woke up this morning to our backyard looking like this:
We got dressed and headed out the door... Margaret had her 1 mo appointment today.

Well, we weren't gone for long. The nice lady at the doctor's office told me that our insurance company hadn't added Margaret to our plan... so we'll go back next week.
I'm trying to be thankful that we even have insurance, but I'll admit to being slightly peeved.

Margaret had to get her pic taken since it was her first snow.

Friends

We were lucky to have Sari and Witt in town from Minnesota. They came over, with Meagan and Luke, and Amy and Brinley on Tuesday for a playdate.
Super cute Witt!

Boys being boys

Henry, not doing a good job of sharing

Luke makes me sick- he will ham it up for the camera any day... meanwhile, Henry practically runs from the camera.

The girls
Margaret knew that her older friend is going to have a watermelon birthday party in the summer, so she let Brinley borrow a dress of hers.

Witt and Brinley

Margaret had so much fun meeting Witt and playing with all her new friends!
She can't wait to meet the last friend of the UTSW group, Miss Bekah Burkart

Oh, and we had another friend visit us that day...a fox in our backyard... maybe I won't be letting Henry play in the backyard by himself.

Who Dat!

Here is a picture of 3 month old Henry showing his Louisiana pride.

And here is present day Henry- still sporting the Black and Gold!

Check out those muscles!

We went over the McAdams' to watch the game and had a great time eating, visiting, and watching the Saints win!
(The only pic of Henry and Brinley together)

(We were driving by a football field the other day
and Henry shouted "Fut-doll" then "Who Dat!")

Margaret showed her pride, too... just in a pink flavor.
(poor thing, she always looks so frightened in her big brother's arms)

Brother and Sister

Ella's Baptism

On Sunday, our niece, Ella, was baptized to make public that she had chosen to be a Christ follower.

Tom held down the fort while I took pics

So special! PawPaw got to baptize Ella.

Henry excited about going to his sunday school class
after the baptism.

The Woods had us over for lunch after church.

It was such a special day and I'm so glad we got to be there for Ella.
