Mother's Day

Mother's Day was really special this year!
We celebrated the night before because Tom had to work after church the next day.

Had dinner al fresco at Taco Mama... thought it was an appropriate place given the name.

Came back home to open my gifts...
For my birthday, Henry had picked out a set of owls and told me they were Margaret, Simon, and him.
Tom saw that I needed another for Camille, so he went back to the store to buy me one for Mother's Day. They wouldn't sell him just one, so they made him buy the last set they had (originally a set of 3, but one had broken).

I looked at Tom and asked him if he was trying to tell me that he wanted 1 more kid!?!??
What a gift that would be. Ha.
He said they could be me and my kids.
Better.

Tom and Henry also picked out some workout clothes.
I had to return those.
I need to work out 1st in order to fit into what they picked out ;)

My little owlets are such a blessing to me!

Snapped a few pictures before church.
Millie wore one of my old dresses, the same dress that MG wore on her 1st Mother's Day.
I guess she wasn't very happy about it.
Better.

Tom let MG pick out my flowers.
Such a big, beautiful, fragrant arrangement!
Can't wait to see what he lets her pick out for her wedding!

I felt very loved.
Hooray for me! ;)

Tom's Birthday

Tom turned 33 on April 17th.
We left that day for Hilton Head, and didn't get around to celebrating him until the beginning of May.
Better late that never!

I'm sure I made some fabulous meal ;) but I can't remember...
BUT
the kids and I did make a cake with some awesome blue icing.

The kids drew pictures for their sweet dad.
I love this picture.

Got Tom some new shoes... They were a hit!

Had fun celebrating Tom.

T-Ball

Henry played T-Ball in the Spring.
We signed him up to play in a really laid back league- the Joy League. ha.
Tom even got asked to be an assistant coach... and he accepted; even though he had always said he wouldn't coach his own kids.
Baseball has a place in his heart, though.

Here are pictures from the 1st game... back in April.

Way to be behind the ball, H!

Oh, whoops- let it get by!

One of my all time favorite pictures.

Since the games were played at a school, there was a playground within spitting distance from the fields... good for Simon and Margaret Gray.

And here are pictures from his last game.... even though the season didn't end until after we moved... it was a really long season.

 Coach Dad

We found Simon over with the other team....

Go Sox!

It was a fun season!
Looking forward to when he plays coach pitch!

U.S. Space and Rocket Center

Waaaaaaay back in March, we drove up to Huntsville and visited the United States Space and Rocket Center.
It was pretty cool!

Tom took the kids to ride on a space flight simulator.
I was surprised that Simon didn't scream his head off!

Not sure what this was... but the bigs had fun doing it.

Can you see Tom and the kids below?

This little ride was probably the highlight of the trip.
Glad MG got over her fear and joined her brothers.

This little chicken was a trooper.
It was soooooo very very chilly and windy. Didn't really bring proper attire or blankets.

Glad we took the time to visit while we were in Alabama!
