Lagersen Christmas 2012

We started off our Christmas Vacation with a visit to my grandparents' house.
They weren't able to make it to Shreveport like they usually do, so it was a good thing we stopped by.

Simon loved this singing Christmas tree.

Playing around in my Papaw's old Packard.

The evening we got to Shreveport, we celebrated the recent marriage of my brother, Josh, and his bride, Jacqui.  Enjoyed gumbo and catching up with friends and family!
Sunday night, we spent the evening with our good friends, the Blanchers.
Our kids had a blast playing with each other. It had been too long since we had seen each other.
Took zero pictures of either special times.

Christmas Eve

Henry's love for Simon made the little guy....
... end up in the bushes. :)

Went to a Christmas Eve service at my family's church. We all took up the whole pew.
Thank goodness the people sitting in front of us were some of our oldest friends and hopefully understood the craziness happening behind them. :)

Onto my Great Aunt Katharine's for dinner...
The only picture I have of all 8 cousins. Fail.

 Playing after dinner.
 They got a little wacky.
 Sis Sarah Margaret and Leif
Sarah Grace and half of Emma

The child was anti-pics all night long.

These two, Liam and Sarah Grace, are best buds.

My sis found a game where you are told what to draw on the plate on your head
(I think it was supposed to be a Christmas tree with ornaments and gifts and mantle with stockings??)

 Cousins Harrison, Clara, and Maggie

Sis Elizabeth and her winning artwork

We got home and threw the kids in bed.
Santa needed to start assembling.

I feel like every year I'm expecting squeals and fist pumps from the kids.... it's never happened.
ha.
They were both so interested with what was in their stockings.

MG finally squealed with she pulled out her panties.
If you ask Henry what he got for Christmas, he'll say a Captain America motorcycle, a slinky, underwear..... and then he'll tell you he got a bike.

He hasn't gotten to ride it outside. It was storming that day, then when we got back to Arlington, it was snowy, and we just got back from Austin.

We ate a little breakfast and then opened up some family gifts.
Kids got some books and puzzles.

 Happy Happy!

Family came over and we opened gifts before our big brunch.

Surprisingly, this trumpet I picked out for my grandmother to give to Henry wasn't that annoying :)

Little Larkin

Kids took naps and adults played Buzz Word. Lots of laughs.

After naps, my mom opened up a S'mores kit to do with the kids. Only, it didn't come with all the parts...
... so she made them in the microwave.

We celebrated Sarah Margaret's birthday
(she had been sick with the flu earlier that week)
 Margaret Gray with her namesake

Thank goodness my Papaw sent the men's gifts with us!

We're a bunch of crazies, but we love each other and I'm thankful we got to spend Christmas together.
