What a YEAR!!

From this...

... To this:
April 12, 2008- 2:42 pm... Our precious Charles Henry was born.
(Yikes! Poor guy... he had a tough time.)

7 lbs 7 ounces
20 1/2 inches

Indescribable.

Such a blessing!

April 12, 2009 - 7:15 am:

Tom had to work today (boo) so we celebrated Henry's special day right away.

Loves his new toy

We sang Happy Birthday
Tom helped blow out his candle

Yummy! Blueberry pancakes!

After washing off the blueberries in the tub, we tried to recreate his "birth" look.

Happy 1st Birthday, our sweet son!

Opening Day

So this was last year's Opening Day at the Ballpark... Not sure which one is bigger- my belly or my face?
Here we are- a year later!Tom's family, along with some family friends, had a pregame cookout... It was so cold!!! Instead of playing 4 square like last year, we just tried to stay warm. But we did enjoy some yummy hot dogs, brats, and hamburgers.

G.W. threw the 1st pitch. He's in the red jacket.

To my surprise, Henry did really well.

Thank goodness our seats were in the sun.

Our crew took up 2 rows

The Woods, sans Thomas. Kate is expecting- any day now!

Evie did great, too! She enjoyed dancing to the music. That girl knows how to shimmy!

The Ballpark

The new Cowboys Stadium

As Mary Pat so cleverly put it-
Here are Evie and Henry practicing synchronized sleeping.
Can't wait for next year!

Henry's Big Day

Calling all monkeys to come and play!
We are celebrating Henry's 1st Birthday!

Here he is-
The monkey boy himself-
Charles Henry Louis....
ready for his big party!

Doesn't he look so old?!?!

The Cake

I couldn't have imagined a better cake. Go ahead, oooo and ahhh. It's too cute!
A friend of mine made it. Isn't she talented!?! Thanks, Meagan, for your hard work!

The "smash" cake

I couldn't get a good picture of this decoration. It was a picture timeline of Henry's 1st year- each month- birth through 12 months.
The favors

Party shakers

Grand Entrance
PawPaw took Henry to go change his shoes before the party. He thought this pair was more appropriate. Thanks Mary Pat, Ryan, and Evie for the awesome new kicks!

Party People

Past and Future Centenary Gents

Most of the kiddos. (some were M.I.A.)

Present Time

We were so thankful for the beautiful weather and that we were able to be outside!

Let them eat cake!

Getting his wardrobe ready.

Henry was kind of confused

He is a pretty neat eater, so not a lot of "smashing" went on.

Besides cake and ice cream, the guests were served banana splits.

(Thanks to everyone who jumped in to help serve!)

All good things have to come to an end and PawPaw was there to help Henry say goodbye.

My sweet, precious boy is growing up too fast!!!

Thank you to all our friends and family who made this day so special. You all mean so much to us. We are truly blessed.
(special thanks to MP for taking pictures!)
