Arboretum/ State Fair

Last week we visited the arboretum with Liz and her boys. Was hopeful to get some good pumpkin pics. That was just wishful thinking. Margaret's expressions are priceless.

Later that week, we went to the fair. We hadn't gone last year, so it was nice to be back to enjoy the good weather and good food.

Pumpkin Patch

Took the kids to our local "pumpkin patch" last week.
Henry found a football, and the kids found it quite entertaining.

Back to the pumpkins....
Henry humored me with pics....

...Margaret would not.

Zoo, Cabins, and Train

Several weeks ago, Tom was working nights so he had his days off to sleep... and play with us.

One day, he and I took Margaret Gray to the zoo while Henry was at school.

Then the next day, Tom suggested going to ride the Forest Park Miniature Train through Trinity Park in Fort Worth.
We got there a little early, so we went across the street to the Log Cabin Village.
The kids enjoyed the hands-on cabin.

Finally... the train ride. Very enjoyable 45 min train ride. It was a beautiful day for it.

Lunch at Joe T's topped off a great couple of days spent with Tom.

Random

Proud of his artwork.

My sister returned my swing the last time I saw her. It's been sitting out. Margaret's loved it.... for her dolls and herself.

Not sure if they were practicing their "hikes" or prepping for a somersault.

After playing at the park at the Warminskis', Brother and Sister sat down to cool off. I was surprised that Henry was fine about his sister sitting in his lap. He can be quite the "touch me not".

Closing Day

Last Sunday afternoon, we attended the Rangers' Closing Day.

Margaret's "Piggie" got to come along... in hopes that she would fall asleep there.

Ate lunch there... Henry was quite upset that there was a crack in his corn dog.

Henry does well sitting through the games... but Margaret requires food to help keep her preoccupied. Kettle corn is one of her favs.

Around the 7th inning,Margaret finally fell asleep.

Too bad it was time for us to line up to run the bases. Every Sunday, the Rangers lets fans run around the bases... this was our 1st time to do so.

Good thing Henry had on his "fast shoes"... he's quite obsessed with them and really thinks they make him run faster. He also thinks its cool that PawPaw has "Fast N Shoes", too.

I sat out on running, but did wait at home plate to take some pics.

Kate and Alice

Our little "Josh Hamilton"... what he refers to himself as when he's wearing his Rangers' shirt, hat, and fast shoes.... really wants batting gloves.

Our Closing Day crew

We took another pic since Henry got cut out of the 1st pic... another fail.

The Woods

Love this pic of PatPat and PawPaw

It was a good season. H.O.T. Can't believe we (I) sat through some 105 degree games.

Actually just got back from the 1st playoff game. Whew. That was a doozie.

(Lost 0-9) Ouch.
