Simon's Birthday

Our sweet little guy turned 2 on December 17th.
We celebrated the Saturday before.

Started out with a pancake breakfast.

I've really got to throw away the trick candles I accidentally bought for Henry's 5th party.

Henry had a Doggie Party, in honor of his love for Dog Louis- his lovie, for his 2nd.
Then MG's 2nd birthday party was a piggie party, also for her lovie, Piggie.

So it was only fitting to honor Elli, Simon's elephant lovie, for his 2nd birthday party.
Then Henry and Margaret wanted to add a construction theme... so voila- an Elephant/ Construction "party" was born.

We made cookies- 'S' shaped ones, a bulldozer, and elephants.
We didn't even eat them that day.
I'm pretty sure the kids forgot about them and I ate them all.

I took pictures of Simon with Elli and a construction hat... I had no clue how to display them for his party, then came up with this clever idea... if I say so myself.
Wish I was better at wrapping gifts...

The party began after naps...
Snacks- Simon's favorite things-
Goldfish, fruit snacks, M&Ms, and apple sauce.

I have great ideas... sometimes the implementing of those ideas don't always work...
... the ears wouldn't stay back.

The icing and I didn't get along.
This is the back of his cake.

After snacks, we sang Happy Birthday.

Precious boy!!

Gift time!
Thankful for friends and family members who send gifts in the mail!
My kids so appreciate it... and it makes the party seem more like a party :)

Every party needs a pinata.

Inside was leftover candy from Halloween... kids never knew.

He was so excited about his 3 pieces of candy!

We, then, took the party to a bounce house place.

And ended the evening with Chuy's.
Simon is a sucker for chips and salsa... and guacamole.

We had a fun day celebrating our Simon "James"!
