Vaca (that's with the long A sound) to Port City

Tom had this week off from work. We got to go home to Shreveport for several days. It was relaxing and great to see my friends and family.

On Wednesday night, Kristen and Adam had us over for dinner. The boys got to hang out.

On Thursday night, we went on a hot date. And by hot, I mean that we were without our child... not talking about my hair that wouldn't stop flipping out :)


One thing we do like about Shreveport is the restaurants. Tom had a list of favorite spots he wanted to eat at- here were the winners:

We got shrimp kabob pita sandwiches at Yeero Yeero.

On Tuesday night, we got Johnny's pizza and beer and watched the election results come in.

Where we went on our hot date- The Cub. This place is so old that my grandmother used to go here in college. We enjoyed some delicious steaks.

After we ate at The Cub, we met some friends of mine at Superior's Steakhouse. Usually it's the place where you see people you know and you really don't want to talk to, but you put a smile on your face and ask how they are doing anyway- but luckily, the place was pretty empty and we had a good time catching up with my friends.

It was a successful vacation... Now it's time for Tom to go back to the hospital!
