Louis Christmas 2012

Louis Christmas happened in Austin this year. 

Jack and Leigh (who have been back from Paris for a year?? now) hosted us. 

Whitesides came from San Antonio, the Ross Louis fam from New Orleans, Woods, and  PatPat and PawPaw were all there.

We drove down a little early and made a stop at the Capital.

 Kids kept calling it the White House.

That evening we all met up at a local pizza joint, then stayed up too late at Jack and Leigh's.

The next morning, we were all able to attend Tom's great uncle's memorial service.

I had only met Uncle Joe a couple of times, but remember him fondly. Glad we were all able to be there.

Before the service... Playing around in the hotel lobby while the babies took their morning nap.

Back at Jack's, Simon got terrorize love on Bug before his afternoon nap.

Later that day...

game of kickball!

 It was pretty chilly, so the little girls snuggled up with PatPat.

 Margaret ran so fast behind Tom that she had to hold on to her cheeks to make sure they hadn't jiggled off her face :)

Then there were races....

Went back to Jack's for dinner.

These 2 were so funny eating off each other's trays.

Gwyneth sure did shove Simon's hand off at one point. And he sure did let her know his displeasure :)

 Henry can sniff out anyone's IPad.

The next morning, we gathered for Christmas breakfast and gift giving.

 H went straight back to the IPad.

 Simon scarfed down his 1st Louis coffee cake.

 Ya'll don't even know. 

This "Cinderella"/ Alice dress (it's an Alice in Wonderland costume) has not come off her body since!

 Since Henry's fav Josh Hamilton is no longer a Ranger, the Woods got him a new jersery- 

Let's go #17 Nelly Cruz!!

 Played a little game of HeadBands.

And we got a special phone call from Alex and Jim in Charlotte.

Alex is expecting her 4th! Louis grandkid #18!

Before we left, Simon and Gwyneth had one more wrestling match. 

I'm thinking these 2 are going to enjoy pestering each other in the future.

Bye Bye to Bug 

Kids slept the entire way home.

Once we got home, Tom set up his computer screen in the bigs room so that they could watch MG's new Cinderella movie in bed. What a treat it was!

Our trip was a perfect ending to a wonderful Christmas season!

We're looking forward to Birmingham Christmas 2013!!!
