Birthday Catch-Up

Henry and Margaret have been quite the party people lately.

Ella's 7th Birthday
Ella had the family over to celebrate her 7th birthday with her... complete with swimming and Taco Bueno tacos (that's what she wanted- love it!!).

This was Margaret's first time in the pool and I think she liked it, unlike her big brother.

(on a sidebar..... Henry's facial expression in the above picture looked so familiar to me... and then I remembered- this is what he looked like after he was born:
...must be his "traumatized" facial expression)

PatPat made Ella's birthday cake

Ella modeled her shirt we gave her.
And glad to know that kids like to wear their birthday crowns from school.

Brinley's 1st Birthday

Brinley had a watermelon bash.
Amy left no detail untouched by watermelon sweetness.

There were too many incredible details to capture all of them-
You should check them out for yourself

The kiddos loved having their dad there ;)

And it was super fun spending time with our sweet Burkhart girls!
(they were supposed to spend a night with us during their trip to the area, but Henry came down with some virus and we had to cancel. boo.)

MMM.. cookies.

I was surprised that Henry wanted to play in the sandbox..
he's not the biggest fan of the texture.

Margaret all tuckered out.

Thomas' 6th Birthday

Since Henry was sick, I stopped by Thomas' party after we put the kids to bed, and was glad I did... It was a blast to see Thomas so excited!
Chuck E Cheese pulled out all stops for Thomas.
I was sad Henry couldn't be there... he would have loved the music and dancing.
Well, I think he would have... he could have been totally freaked out.

Luke's 3rd Birthday
Luke Warminski had his birthday party at a petting zoo.
I have no pics of the birthday boy because, well, we didn't exactly show up to the party at the right time :)

I had forgotten that the party time had been changed- whoops!
And we couldn't return at the correct time since we were headed out of town later that day.
Henry looking at the cow from afar... he didn't quite like it when it mooed in his face.

Liam's 1st Birthday
My sister, Sarah, threw Liam a cowboy birthday party at a park.

Henry and Margaret loved being with their Lagersen cousins.

The birthday boy cooled off with some ice

Sarah Grace and Margaret Gray shared a special moment

While Henry ran around with Madeline, Margaret slept well in Papa's arms

Liam loved the cars Henry picked out for him
(check out his awesome boots!)

Margaret spent some quality time with her great grandmother

After the party at the park, we went out to dinner.
I love this pic of these 2... even if it is out of focus.
Madeline and Henry bring out the crazies in each other!

And Margaret got her first restaurant high chair experience...
Typical 2nd child- didn't have one of those covers for Margaret,
but I did drape a burp cloth over the area on which she was sucking :)

Thanks to our friends and family for having us spend these special moments with them!

Big Toe and a Bath

We were in the car the other day and I snapped these shots of Margaret Gray:
At first, I was just trying to capture her cuteness.

Then I had to document her flexibility.

I'm not going to lie- kinda odd looking.

And just a random bath picture:

5 months

Margaret Gray is 5 months old!
And now has enough hair to sport a bow :)

Loves to grab her toes!

Likes her jumper... doesn't exactly love it, but it keeps her entertained for a little while.

Sometimes when she wakes up, she looks like this :)
Sleeping on your hand leaves quite the impression!
Margaret's bedtime is around 7... I'm trying to push it back, so that she'll wake up later. She wakes up around 6...and when I'm lucky, a little later.
She takes 3 naps. Her naps last are usually an hour to 1 1/2 hours, sometimes longer.

Margaret's great a putting herself to sleep... I just lay her down and walk out.

Margaret went swimming for the 1st time.
More on that in a later post.

She liked being in the pool.

When she's not playing with her toes, she prefers being on her belly.

Likes to sleep with her booty in the air!

Getting better at trying to sit up

Margaret tries to scooch (is that how you spell that word?? oh, Tom just told me that it's not a word- it's scoot) towards her toys.

Allergies are no fun :(

I thought we would use the swing more with Margaret, but we don't.

Margaret can not get enough of her fingers!
She is constantly sucking on them... hoping it's just a teething thing.

Happy 5 months, my love!
Get ready to start some cereal this month!

Margaret usually wakes up happy- it's so fun to get her up when she's smiling!
( not so fun when she's screaming)

She's a rolling over fool. Usually if you lay her down, she'll immediately roll onto her belly.

Window Seat

The week before Margaret was born, Tom decided he wanted to build a window seat for her room. He obviously didn't have the time to do it then, and just got around to constructing it.
Here's a before picture:
You see the basket with the Boppy in it? That was hiding our Internet router and modem. So the window seat not only provides storage, but hides an eye sore. :)

Henry loved helping his daddy and it amazed me how patient Tom was with him.

Margaret joined in on "tool time", also.

Sibs playing around in our "lovely" garage.

Day 2 of construction

Painting

And now it's finished!
I need to either make a pad or just some pillows to go on top, but for picture purposes, I used the ones from her rocker.

Henry loves to climb up and jump off.

And Margaret loves it, too.

Now Tom wants to build a tree house.... we'll see.
