Here's a snapshot of our time on Dauphin Island.
Start off with our car ride. We broke it up into 2 days.
Packed to the rim
Simon did a lot better in the car than on our trip to DC
This was our second year at Dauphin Island. We've really liked it.... very laid back. Our houses were the last 2 at one end of the island- its so nice to have the beach all to yourself!
Another Pinterest fail...
I learned that puffy paint doesn't transfer very well from hand to shirt.
Also learned to not let Margaret around when I'm trying to "fix" the shirts... she might take matters into her own hands...
Henry's lobster has jazz hands.
Henry loved being independent in the water. He was a lot braver that I thought he would be. Well, the waves were never that big and his life jacket helped...
Simon scored a rockin' stethoscope bib from his Aunt Jenny.
The empty lot next to us was perfect for bocce ball.
One of the perks (take that back- the ONLY perk) of Simon waking up at 5 every morning (one day it was 4:30!!)... you got to see a beautiful sunrise.
These cousins had fun playing together and didn't get into too much trouble :)
Henry was thrilled to take a bike ride with his Uncle Jim
Henry was introduced to Angry Birds and couldn't get enough of everyone's IPads. Poor guy, we don't even own an IPod.
Manicures
Storm coming in
Mosey preferred to be held
Simon honored my wishes of holding off crawling until we got home.
He did get up on all 4s while we were there.
Beautiful lighting at 6 in the morning.
Timer ;)
night swimming
The treasure hunt, aquarium, and Fort Morgan will get their own posts...
