Tweite's Pumpkin Patch, Jack O Lanterns, S'mores

Saturday morning, we played around...

 

 

... then headed out to Tweite's Pumpkin Patch.

 

It was so much more than just pumpkin patch.

LOTS of activities for the kids.

 

It was pretty chilly, windy, and a little rainy that morning, but we tried not to let the weather ruin our fun.

So wanted to get a family Christmas picture here.... but as I surveyed the troops, I knew it wouldn't be possible :)

The strangest goat feeding contraption...  we climbed up onto a platform and dropped corn down the PVC pipes.

It was about 12:15 and someone was tired and so ready for lunch. 

 

 

But Simon had to wait...let the big boys play on the tires and monster trucks first.



Packed a picnic lunch and ate in the back of Rob's truck

Everyone was refreshed after getting some food in their bellies.

1st ones from Arlington, too.



"Wagon Ride"

We thought it dropped you off at the pumpkin patch... it didn't.

Finally made it over to the pumpkin patch.

Can't say I've ever been to a real one before.

 



 

Got a couple of pumpkins to carve later on that evening.

 

 



 

 

Being 2 o'clock and nap time, a group shot was a little difficult.

Love this sweet one.

 

It was a really fun place! Kids had a blast and took REALLY good naps :)

 

This little princess had a hard time waking up from hers and didn't want to take a picture with her dear ol' mom in our coordinating shirts and matching braids :(

 

 

 Same little princess was happy, though, to get a picture with Otis and Chuey

 

 

 

 

 

She LOVED these dogs and they were very sweet to her.

 

Little Simon shares his sister's love for dogs. We swear he was saying "doggy".

Well, pumpkin carving didn't start out of the right foot...

 

But we regrouped and got to carving.

To my defense, the skin was really thick and hard to carve :)

 

Rob got a fire ready before dinner and we got to enjoy s'mores for dessert

Henry was a little nervous at first. 

 

It was such a perfect day!
